Weber Stables Philosophy and Ethics

Les Weber Stables practices and advocates the humane care, training, and treatment of all gaited horses. It supports statements by the National Walking Horse Association, The Mid-Atlantic Tennessee Walking Horse Association, Friends of Sound Horses, and the Pennsylvania Pleasure Walking Horse Association on the care and training of horses. The Tennessee Walker has a gentle disposition and a natural, smooth gait that delights riders. Some owners and trainers, however, use illegal means to amplify the natural gaits of the Tennessee Walking Horse.

The above mentioned organizations and Les Weber Stables believe that the majority of owners, riders and show exhibitors support the ideals of the sound horse and work through appropriate channels to ensure that all gaited horses are treated according to these ideals.
